Who do you train and how is the training tailored?
We deliver role-based training for administrators, managers and employees, because each group needs different things. Administrators get deep hands-on configuration training, managers focus on approvals and reporting, and employees get simple, confidence-building self-service sessions.
Is training included or charged separately?
Training is included in Grouper's white-glove service at the same subscription price as acquiring your BambooHR licences direct from Utah. That includes the initial role-based sessions and two complimentary refresher sessions each year to keep skills current.
Is training delivered remotely or on site?
Both. We deliver remotely by default, which suits distributed teams, and on site where it adds value, for example intensive administrator workshops. Either way, sessions are run in your language and time zone by consultants based across Ireland, the UK, Europe and MEA.
How long does it take for our team to become confident?
Capability builds over roughly the first 90 days. Most people handle core tasks such as logging in and approving time off within the first 30 days, administrators build custom fields and run reviews by 60 days, and advanced analytics and workflow optimisation follow by 90 days.
What do the complimentary refresher sessions cover?
Refreshers keep capability high as your team and the platform evolve. They typically cover new BambooHR features, areas where usage data shows people are struggling, and onboarding for new administrators or managers who joined after the original rollout.
Do you provide any materials we can keep?
Yes. We provide role-appropriate guides and quick-reference materials so your team has something to return to after each session. These become part of your internal onboarding for new joiners, reducing reliance on external support over time.
How does training fit with change management and go-live?
Training is the enablement layer within our wider change approach, timed so people are ready just before go-live rather than months ahead when skills fade. It continues into hypercare and managed support, so learning deepens with real use.
How do you measure whether training worked?
We look at practical adoption signals such as self-service login rates, managers completing approvals in the system and a fall in basic how-do-I queries. If a group is lagging, we target a refresher at exactly that gap rather than repeating generic sessions.
Can you train new administrators who join later?
Yes. New administrator or manager onboarding is a natural use of your refresher sessions, and your named support team can also cover key topics during managed support so knowledge does not walk out the door when people move on.
Does training cover data protection and GDPR responsibilities?
Yes. Administrator and manager training covers permissions, appropriate access and handling employee data responsibly, so your team understands their GDPR obligations in practice, not just in policy. This reinforces the security model configured during implementation.
What if different sites need different content?
For multi-entity or multi-country organisations we adapt content per site to reflect local processes, policies and language. The core platform skills stay consistent, whilst examples and workflows match how each team actually works.
